ST. MICHAEL'S LABOR DAY PICNIC

BACK "IN-PERSON" FOR 2021!!

The St. Michael’s Church Labor Day Picnic is scheduled for September 6, 2021. This year’s Picnic will be largely in-person with the return of our famous Chicken & Ham Dinners, fun games of chance for all ages, and more! The popular Online Quilt Auction is returning from last year, featuring the handmade quilts of the St. Michael Rosary Society. Labor Day Loot and Farm to Table raffle tickets will be available for purchase online and in-person. See below for more details on all your favorite Labor Day Picnic activities!

With Homemade Noodle Soup and Pies

Dine in or take out! Dinner ticket sales begin at 10 a.m. with dinners served between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Dinner tickets are also available for advance purchase at the parish office in Lucinda!
Dinner prices are $9.00 for adults and $4.50 for children. Pre-school age and under are FREE.
Outdoor seating is available at the picnic for take-out meals.
**The Refreshment Stand will also be open throughout the day featuring hot dogs, nachos, pop, and other picnic fare.**

In-Person Games, Raffles and More!

All booths and games open at 11 a.m. on the picnic grounds.  Games of skill and chance for all ages will be featured including:

  • 100 Item Chinese Auction
  • Meat Raffles
  • SPECIAL Blanket Stand featuring one-of-a-kind St. Michael Church throws
  • Baked Goods Stand
  • Candy Game
  • Stuffed Animal Game
  • and more with great prizes for all ages!

**There will be no Bingo for 2021 due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns. We apologize for this inconvenience!**



Rosary Quilt Online Quilt Auction

In place of the traditional Quilt Stand, the St. Michael Rosary Society will once again host an online quilt auction through Bidding Owl. The auction features 8 beautiful handmade quilts, to be awarded to the highest bidder. [Outright purchases of the quilts will not be allowed this year.]

• All quilts are made by members of the St. Michael Rosary Society
• Photos of the quilts as well as information on how they were crafted are available on the auction site
• Each quilt holds an estimated retail value of between $500 and $1200
• Minimum bids are set between $350 and $700, depending on quilt size and value
• Auction closes on September 6, 2021, at 3 PM
• Bidding and sales handled by Bidding Owl, a secure, non-profit charity online auction service

Labor Day Loot Ticket – this year’s ticket features CASH ONLY prizes! Requested donation for tickets is $5 each or 5 for $20. Prize increments are as follows:

  • 1st Prize, $2000 cash
  • 2nd Prize, $1000 cash
  • 3rd Prize, $1,000 cash
  • 4th Prize, $1,000 cash
  • 5th Prize, $750 cash
  • 6th Prize, $750 cash
  • 7th Prize, $500 cash

Farm to Table Ticket – this year’s ticket features 41 prizes including various cuts of fresh, local meat as well as the grand prize: a live calf or $100 cash! Requested donation for tickets is $1 each. Featured prizes include:

  • Live Piglet OR $50 Cash, donated by Five G Farms, Fryburg

*Tickets can be purchased in-person at the Parish Office in Lucinda OR at these local businesses – check back later for exact locations!

*Tickets will also be available for purchase in-person at the Labor Day Picnic, September 6th, from 11 AM to 4 PM on the grounds!

*Tickets can be purchased online through Bidding Owl (a secure, non-profit charity auction service) at www.biddingowl.com/SMPLaborDayPicnic. Stubs will be entered into the drawing and the return portion of the ticket will be mailed to the buyer. Online ticket sales end on September 3rd at 11:59 PM!

*You can request tickets via mail by emailing stmikelabordaypicnic@gmail.com or by calling our Parish Office at 814-226-7288. Be sure to indicate the quantity of tickets you desire as well as your name and mailing address. Requests for tickets must be received by August 27, 2021, to allow for return mail.

Parking - Directions - Contact Information

The picnic grounds are handicap accessible. Handicap parking is available at the lower parking lot next to the parish social hall. All parking is FREE with ample spaces surrounding the picnic grounds.
